This Privacy Policy explains what data HunnyDo collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept. HunnyDo is made by Open Mind Software LLC.

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Summary

  • HunnyDo collects precise device location for one purpose only: to fire reminders when you arrive at places you have pinned.
  • Location is processed on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers.
  • Background location is off by default and requires a separate, explicit opt-in.
  • We do not sell your data, ever. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.
  • The only things synced to the cloud are your sign-in email, your subscription status, and whether you opted in to announcement emails. Announcement emails are optional and can be turned off in Settings at any time.

Precise location

What we collect: Your device's precise geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude, accuracy, and timestamp) provided by your operating system's location services. Coordinates are read at intervals only while HunnyDo is authorized to read them.

Why we collect it: Solely to compute the distance between your current position and places you have pinned to a list or a task, so HunnyDo can fire a reminder when you arrive within the trigger radius you chose. This is the app's core feature and it cannot function without it.

When we collect it: Only after you (1) tap Allow in the in-app disclosure and (2) grant the location permission at your operating system's prompt. If either step is declined, HunnyDo does not request or read your location.

Where it is processed: Entirely on your device. Coordinates are compared to your pinned places locally. Your location is never transmitted to our servers, never written to a HunnyDo database in the cloud, and never linked to your account identifier.

Background location (opt-in)

A geofence reminder that only fires while the app is open on screen is not useful — you would have to be looking at HunnyDo to be reminded. To let reminders fire when HunnyDo is closed or your phone is locked, we offer optional background location access.

Off by default. Background access requires a second, separate in-app disclosure (distinct from the foreground disclosure) which you must explicitly accept, and then the operating system's own "Allow all the time" prompt, which you must also grant.

What it is used for: Only the same on-device distance check described above. Background location is never used for advertising, tracking, marketing, analytics, research, profile-building, or anything other than firing your reminders.

How to turn it off: Open Settings inside HunnyDo and tap Turn off on the Background reminders row, and/or change HunnyDo's location permission to "Only while using the app" (or Deny) in your device's app permissions. Either action stops all background collection immediately.

How your data is used and shared

We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose your personal or sensitive user data — including your location, your lists, your tasks, or your pinned places — to any third party for any commercial purpose.

We do not share your data with advertisers. HunnyDo does not embed advertising SDKs, ad networks, ad identifiers, or attribution trackers. There are no analytics trackers, social media pixels, or fingerprinting scripts in the app.

Service providers we use:

  • Lovable Cloud — hosts an anonymous account record and your subscription status so your membership survives reinstalls and new devices. It never receives your location, lists, tasks, or pinned places.
  • The app store you installed from (Google Play or Apple App Store) — handles purchase, subscription billing, and receipt validation under its own privacy policy.

We may disclose data only where required by law (for example, a valid legal request), but because we do not collect your location, lists, or contents in the first place, there is nothing of that kind for us to disclose.

Retention and deletion

Location coordinates are held in memory only long enough to compute the distance check and are then discarded. HunnyDo does not keep a location history. The only location-related value stored on your device is the timestamp of the last reminder fired for a given list or task, so the app doesn't spam you with the same reminder repeatedly.

Your lists, tasks, and pinned places are stored locally on your device (IndexedDB) and remain there until you delete them in the app or uninstall HunnyDo. Uninstalling removes all local data.

Your anonymous account and subscription status in Lovable Cloud remain until you request deletion. To request deletion of your cloud record, contact us using the address in the Contact section below.

Permissions we request

  • Location (foreground) — for on-device geofence reminders while the app is open.
  • Location (background, optional) — to let reminders fire when the app is closed. Off by default; opt-in only.
  • Notifications — to deliver the reminder itself. Notification content is generated on your device.

What we do not access

HunnyDo does not access your contacts, phone book, call logs, SMS/MMS, microphone, camera, photos, screen contents, screen recording, or the list of other apps installed on your device. HunnyDo does not use advertising identifiers.

Children

HunnyDo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can revoke HunnyDo's location access at any time from the Settings screen inside the app, and from your device's app permissions. You can delete all local data by uninstalling the app.

Deleting your account: Open Settings inside HunnyDo and tap Delete my account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your sign-in email, your subscription/trial record, and your email preference, and erases every list, task, and pinned place stored on your device. Nothing is retained. Full instructions are on our account deletion page. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel that in Google Play → Subscriptions.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change what data we collect or how it is used, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date, and — for changes affecting location or sharing — show you an in-app notice before the change takes effect.
